Seasons of Life and Post Halloween Tips

Active Parent Balance
Balance life with kids while achieving your fitness goal

What’s up you beautiful parents.
The garage renos continue, trick or treating was a blast and I am SO tired right now lol. I hope this finds you well and hopefully not suffering a sugar hangover from last night.

Something to think about

Life goes in seasons. The trick is to find balance in your life for each season of life. As I focus on turning my garage into a gym, ironically my workouts have been reduced but not cut out completely. When the gym is complete workouts will resume or possibly increase to a level they weren’t before.
You can’t be expected to be all in on everything in life. Somethings take priority and that’s okay just so long as you don’t lose focus on the overall goal that you set.
My question to you - What season are you in right now? What’s taking the priority at the moment?

Food Tip

I’m a realist - a lot of junk food will be consumed over the next week or so. Usually when we raid the kids bag, we get some sweets and enjoy. No shame in that. BUT, to reduce the big spikes in insulin try pairing that candy with something higher in protein or fat. This will keep you from that sugar crash and also helps you avoid the ol’ Type 2.

Exercise

Walk at a quick pace with a weighted pack (about 20lbs) for 15-30 minutes per day for 30 days.
Why?
Because your core will get stronger. Your legs will get stronger and toned. Plus you will burn more calories as well. And you just feel great afterward

A quote to motivate you

"If you prioritize yourself, you are going to save yourself."

Until next week, keep those kids on their toes, find the balance and make healthy choices.
