Active Parent Balance
Balance life with kids while achieving your fitness goal

Welcome active parents!

This is the first of many weekly emails that will hopefully give you some motivation, tips, tricks and tools you can use to navigate kids, work and achieving your fitness goals.
Each week I will bring you something to think about, a recipe or meal prep idea and a quick workout that you can do from home.
If you think of something that would help you more though please let me know! My goal is to give you the best help possible from this weekly email.

So without further adieu, let’s dive in!

Something to think about

How many times have you told your kids “No snack before bed” but had a snack? Or told your kids to go outside and play but barely move yourself? Or you tell you kids to eat vegetables but you hardly eat them yourself?

A great way to lose weight is to match our actions to what we ask of our kids. As an added bonus, your kids will learn more from your actions and follow in your steps.
Healthier you, healthier kids, stronger family.

Recipe of the

These chicken nuggets have been a favorite among some of my clients. Especially with their kids! Enjoy!

Workout

Here is a great way to get a pump if you only have 10 minutes to spare… 30 seconds per exercise for 3 rounds:

1. Push ups (either from the ground or something higher like your countertop)
2. Squats or Jump Squats (if you’re feeling bouncy)
3. Plank
4. Glute Bridges
5. Crunches
6. Calf Raises

I’ll have more coming at you next week! Until then, have a great weekend, enjoy your kids and most of all, don’t stop moving.
