Do This Instead of Stressing Over Recipes
Plus my new favorite chicken marinade...
If I had a dollar for everytime someone told me that they get bored eating healthy or that nothing inspires them when it comes to cooking for themselves I would be vacationing in the Mediterranean instead of sending weekly emails.
If you are one of those people who want to eat in a way that supports their fitness goal but ALSO wants it to be tasty, keep reading…
You DON’T have to make boring salads or basic chicken, rice and broccoli meals.
You also don’t have to waste time looking through cookbooks or searching through Allrecipes on the internet to find a recipe.
This is why I leverage AI to do the research for me.
My most recent prompt was this:
I'm looking for a delicious Tex-Mex marinade for my chicken and do you have anything like that and what ingredients would I need?
What resulted was delicious, tender chicken breasts which my wife labeled as “A keeper.”
Don’t let yourself get bored with food again. Leverage free technology to help you reach your protein target the tastiest way possible.
**Quick note** It doesn’t have to end at just one recipe. You can use it to plan out a whole meal plan if you want. I have done this for myself and clients in the past and, as long as the AI knows your goal, food preferences, food dislikes/allergies you can get a great personalized meal plan or one for the whole family.
Eating doesn’t have to be bland or boring. You just have to think a little outside the box.
Committed to your fitness success,
Ryan
PS - Here is the chicken marinade it gave me. Enjoy!!!
Ingredients (for 1.5 to 2 lbs chicken)
1/4 cup olive oil (or avocado oil)
Juice of 2 fresh limes (~3 tbsp)
Juice of 1/2 fresh orange (~2 tbsp, balances the acidity and adds natural sweetness)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp dried oregano (preferably Mexican oregano)
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Optional heat: 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, 1/4 tsp cayenne, or 1 minced jalapeño
Preparation
1. Whisk: Combine all liquids, minced garlic, cilantro, and spices in a medium bowl or measuring cup until thoroughly blended.
2. Combine: Place your chicken (breasts, thighs, or tenders) in a large resealable bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over, and turn to coat evenly.
3. Marinate: Chicken thighs/drumsticks: 2 to 6 hours (up to 12 hours). Chicken breasts/tenders: 30 minutes to 2 hours (avoid exceeding 4 hours, as the citrus acid will begin to break down the meat's texture).
4. Cook: Wipe off excess marinade chunks so spices don't burn, then grill over medium-high heat or sear in a hot cast-iron skillet until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
