Brushing teeth, Throw and Go salads and something you may hate

Active Parent Balance
Balance life with kids while achieving your fitness goal
Greetings you awesome parents! I hope this finds you well loving life with kids. I have a few things for you this week that will make life a bit easier when it comes to reaching your fitness goal.
Something to think about
If your kids didn’t feel like brushing their teeth you would still make them because brushing is important to avoid cavities. But when it comes to exercising or eating healthy how often do make yourself do it when you don’t feel like it? Your body won’t get stronger or leaner unless you do the work!
Recipe/Meal prep
I call these types of salads “Throw and Go” salads because all you have to do it grab prepped food, throw it into a Tupperware and go to work (or wherever you are going).
Things to prep:
Lean meats - cooked and cut up into smaller pieces
Hard boiled eggs - peel when needed
Veggies - Bell peppers, green onion, broccoli, cauliflower
Things to buy:
Pre-chopped greens
Carrot sticks
Walnuts
Salad dressing
What I like to do it grab a couple big handfulls of the greens, Toss in the veggies, a couple portions of meat (2 handfulls or about 5-7oz), some carrot sticks, walnuts and drizzled with a bit of dressing. Add in a couple hardboiled eggs on top for added protein if needed.
Workout
Crazy conditioning in 5-10 minutes:
Set your timer and every minute on the minute do some burpees. I used to do 10 but maybe you just want to do 5 or 6. Rest until the start of the next minute.
Most people hate burpees but I can’t think of a better all ‘round total body exercise.
Motivation
